Mulyan 'Block 7' Cowra Chardonnay
The Block 9 Chardonnay is sourced from a small block of Chardonnay that was planted in 1994. The wine is made to showcase the wonderful varietal chardonnay flavours for which Cowra is renowned. It is a rich style, with subtle, balanced French oak adding complexity and interest without dominating. This is a great food wine, as has been proven with awards being received at the Sydney International wine Competition - a competition that judges the wine along side various cuisines.
Mulyan 'Block 9' Cowra Shiraz Viognier
The Block 7 Shiraz Viognier is made only in years where we deem that the fruit is perfect. We select a small amount of Viognier from the vine to ferment with the Shiraz. The result is a wonderful synergy whereby we believe that the total is greater than the individual sum. This wine is rich and varietal with spice and savoury flavours and approachable tannin structure.
Mulyan Cowra Chardonnay
This is the wine that most people think of when they think of Cowra. Melon, peach with a touch of citrus and lime, this is all that is good about Chardonnay. This wine is made in the vineyard, and only needs careful guidance by our winemaker before being bottled. A touch of French oak maturation for a small portion of the wine is all that is required to make this wonderful wine.
Mulyan Cowra Shiraz
Whilst Cowra is more known for its Chardonnay, Shiraz is beginning to gain notice. The wines are full of rich berry fruit flavours with an elegant savouriness and spice adding interest and regional definition. As with our Chardonnay, we only use French oak to mature our Shiraz and ensure that it is the fruit that is front and foremost.
Mulyan Cowra Cabernet Merlot
The Mulyan Cabernet Merlot is a blend of our Cowra Merlot and a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon from Mudgee. The earthiness of the Mudgee Cabernet and the fresh, ripe plum fruit of the Merlot create a great blend. This is a wine that is smooth and approachable when released, whilst having the ability to age gracefully over the medium term.
Mulyan Cowra Viognier
We planted the Viognier with a view to using some of the fruit in our Block 9 Shiraz, as well as producing a straight Viognier. The result is a varietal wine that has concentration, and powerful fruit intensity, spicy complexity and good length of flavour.
